Hello:  My name is Waylon J, RedTomahawk and I an enrolled member of the Spirit Lake Tribe, in Fort Totten, ND.  I am the Director for our Veterans Program and the Tribal Veterans Service Officer.  Our Veterans Organization leases a small space from the Spirit Lake Tribal Community Center, where we have our main headquarters.  I am writing to you today as I am in need of funds to get our Veterans Program going and I also was looking for any type of funding to help alleviate costs to move a building that the Veterans of Spirit Lake Nation acquired through our local community college as a donation gift.  Iam also a member of Spirit Lake Veterans VFW Post #6547 Color Guard.  The Veterans Program assists all veterans and their dependents who reside on/near Spirit Lake Nation, with applying for benefits through the Regional Veterans Administration located in Fargo, ND.  We do offer rides for Veterans who don't have the means to get to and from their medical appointments.

ibotter has a point, you might even check with the eagles.

You might check the listings I have at http://Schmidty.Aidpage.com to see if there is anything there that could possibly help.

I have listings for Native Americans and Veterans but they are for school, food, training etc. and really don't fit your situation.

So, I dug up these websites that may have information that could help. At least you could ask if they know of a group to help you. At least it's a step in the right direction.

You did not mention the American Legion or am I missing something?  It seems like between the VFW and possibly the Legion you could get some action going.
